FXwars! Moonshot : (fantasy) Team Squid

Hello all
this is my first time on here so please be kind
I just hope I have posted this right
Well I guess I should explain to you how our rocket will be launched
It will be launched on a ramp which will have approximately 25km of straight runway .
It will use some very powerful magnets to prepell it off the ramp, once it shots off the ramp a set of booster rockets will ignite.
These booster rockets will be removed once the rocket reaches earths outer atmosphere. Allowing smaller rockets to ignite. These will be removed once it is close enough to the moon to drop the droid probe. Probe will be droped and start exploring the moons surface

Hello all
Here are some shots of what one of the other team mates has been up to.
Note we will probably be tweaking the stars in after affects and we will add a soft glow to earth.

Its a common idea for how to decrease ships fuel, and make spaceflight cheaper...

thanks for all replies
they are very much appreciated .
to alienlatin's question:
for this scene we just used a directional light we will be tweaking it once we have futher discussed what time of day the launch will be there by knowing when it will land on the moon.
So know heres what our member incharge of the launch site has been upto.
Note he has added alot more since this has been rendered.

it works by a shotgun method. Whereas revovling magnets are used not only to hold the craft in place but also to build up potential motion. the rocket will then be released and will shoot up the ramp.
see you soon
