abstract renders (newbee)

im new to cinema 4d infact i havent tried usin it. but my question is:
is cinema 4d the software most people use for abstract rendering? koz ive seen lots of digital artworks and they said its rendered in cinema 4d. if so, are there any good tute sites that teach abstract renders or do they use plug-ins to achieve a good abstract render?

im plannin to try cinema4d. and purchase one hopefully

thanks yall

You'll probably want to look into getting plugins such as DiTools and Jenna for starters (the latter is available free of charge in 3D World Mag issue #62 or later)

Be indiscreet - do it continuously.

this really depends on what you mean and how you want to go about it? do you have any examples of work you did or would like to try to do similar or of a fashion/type if you get my meaning.

i love c4d for abstract work...but whether is any worst or better than any other is hard to tell really...depending on what you want to do...do you want to animate for starts? do you want to do stills...do you want to do illustrative...do you want to do music...
c4d is excellent for stills because of excellent memory usages and photoshop multi layer support
its excellent for motion work and a lot of tv/ad people like to for this sort of work.
its got an excellent modeller which is capable of both organic and technical modelling
its renderer is lightning fast, pure quality and rock solid stable
i love doing abstract stuff..but not many on here are into it i think...but the software is more than capable of the things i dream up and throw at it.

edit: get the demo and play.
