AE users! Why is my 25fps tga sequence jerky!?

I've just rendered (LW) out a sequence of tga images at 25fps and brought them into AE 5.5 as some footage. However when I render and play the animation its noticably jerky, to my eye at least.

Its not a memory issue as AE is reporting 25fps playback in realtime. My composition is setup for 640x480 (same as my renders naturally) square pixels and set at 25fps.

Why would it be doing this?

Any help appreciated.

Mods feel free to delete this post, I've just sorted the problem.

For some reason AE was interpreting the footage at 30fps even though when I imported it I set it to 25!? Very odd. Anyway I've forced it to use 25 now and it runs perfectly.

My guess is it was your composition settings that were at 30fps?

Nah, it was the settings of the image sequence I was bringing into the composition.

For some reason AE thought it would set the fps to 30 even though my comp settings were set to 25? Bizarre.

yeah ..ae seems to do this.. nothing worse that reliseing this after having built up a composite.. ug.

I think you can specify in prefs something but also remember something not being completey right here..

Ram preview frame rate seems to be the problem very ofter. Check that every time you preview something.
