Render Crash - VUE D'espri

Hello,
I have a simple scene (ground + atmoshpere).
16:9 ration 720 x 405 pixel aspect 0.9

Ground is water with animation and sky is animated also (the clouds).

The sequence last for around 230 frames.
It crashes all the time at frame 85 - even if I render a quicktime, JPG or AVI.

Then Vue 4 Professional quits.

The error : http://www.cgtalk.com/attachment.ph...tid=67663&stc=1

I had the same problem yesterday. I have an almost spotless record of communications with e-on software -- I have never gotten through. Until today when someone actually picked up the phone in the Beaverton office and that was a mistake. He was as shocked to hear someone on the other end as I was to hear it ring. Maybe he put the phone back on the hook long enough to dial.

Anyway, things in Beaverton sounded pretty crazy. I got no useful information but I think his tone might be a general message to us all from e-on, "Don't Worry; Be Happy."

Progress on all fronts

Good news. I can also report that my Vue 5 Infinite order (3/21) has gone from "clueless" to ready-to-ship in this single day. Things do seem to be picking up. I know that will be relief for all of us, including the folks in Beaverton.

Now I realised that for the rendered sequence I had (the only 100 frames) the plants are flikering a lot... it looks like there's a paparazzi and take snapshots...

That sucks... that software was released too early without doing a good beta testing.
If it can NOT run correctly on a P4, Nvidia Quadro PCIE, 1 GB Ram...I mean c'mon I'm really, really nervous.

It's bad for E-onsoftware to have such basic code & bugs issues, because the potential of the program is huge. But bugs like that makes almost impossible a normal workflow under strict deadlines - big studios will never choose as main tool - no matter how many eco-systems and other cool features it will have.

First rule - a software should work once you buy it !

Vue render issues detected (so far):
1. Crash - all the time
2. Antialiasing issue to geometry of the relief (all the objects are rendered perfectly except "others")
3. Flikering plants and objects - I think because of the additional lights that were created in the scene.
