Material with "wireframe overlay" look

I came accross an old post looking for a way to achive a render that has the "wirefram overlay" look to it and got to thinking. I think I found a pretty easy way to get the wireframe gridlines to show up on a on a soild texture.

Open the material editor and change from Standard to Blend. The top material will be your wire, name it accordingly. The bottom will be the base color, material or whatever you want. Change the mix to 99.

Open the wire material and check wire and then assign output for the diffuse map. From here change the output amount to about 100. This should give you white wire overlay, if you choose invert you will get black. Anyway I hope this works for everyone, I got some good results and it seems to be a pretty easy way to get this look.

After screwing with this further it only seems to work with Mental Ray
