Master and Servant 2D Entry: Floris Spronk

Floris Spronk has entered the Master and Servant 2D.

Challenge Page

Latest Update: Concept Sketch: Master sketch

A sketch of the master, he is in a wheelchair.. Maybey because of an attack of his servant.. I will try to show signs of an previous escape of the servant.. The TV-screen shows his servant in action.. It\'s what makes him happy :P Ah well, im still trying to make a decent compositing.. THe servant mech has to get a prominent place in the background.. But I still don\'t know how :)

FYI, I don't know if you know this but you need to have a human in your image.
Quote:
Q: Does one of the characters in the Master and Servant relationship need to be human?
A: Yes - absolutely. One of the characters needs to be human - doesn't matter whether he/she is the master or servant.

I like your robots though.

Okey... now I feel pretty dumb :P I didn't read the rules that good I guess :P I'll have to make the master figure human.. Problem is I don't habe any expierence in drawing humans :( So I have about 50 days to learn Thank you alot for telling me

Looking good

I think making the eyes red would give it a move sinister appearance. So far I like the relationship, but something inside me wants to see the big robot doing something. :P I don't know what it can do, but I'll check back soon and see what else you cook up.

Concept Sketch: The Servant sketch

.. Just experimenting.. Now I have to work on the human Master character.. I might do an engineer or something.. I'll see :) What do you think of this one?

Nice work! I like the proportions of the head and torso a lot, and the lighting is great! The arms feel very non-functional to me: They don't feel like they could bend, for one thing, and the connection to the shoulders feels weak compared to the anatomical strength of the upper body. But it's also early, I know you'll refine it more. Good luck with it!

Concept Sketch: Two More Concept Sketches

Hey! Two more tryouts, Should the master be on top? Laughing? Or In front of his controle center or something.. The background? Now It's an empty garage but maybey it could be a destroyed city.. I'm still trying ;)

Hey Floriz. Just like old times at 3DFC. Well back then it was 3D. Good stuff so far. I like the left one.

great start, i like the one on the left, the composition is very centralized which is fine but think about ways to decentralize, you should definitely add objects in the foreground, maybe the robot is standing in a cluttered room full of boxes, electronic equipment, etc. the opening behind the robot could be the space between buildings or just make the window taller, good luck
