Latest Update: Final Image: the final image

let me just say a few words for the meaning of the setting. The stripes that Moses are wearing; red, white and dark blue, those were the colors for the priest. It should be black but I use dark blue instead because Moses was "drawn from water" as the bible says it.

The insignia on the left is the emblem for Issachar. And I think thats about it.

Concept Sketch: God & Israel

Initial sketch: This is to commemorate the time the glorious days of Israel when the Lord delivered them out of Rameses, Egypt.

Moses lifted his wooden staff and look up to the Lord who hovered above them to
protect from not just from the Egyptians who were running after them but also to the Lucifer the leader of the fallen angelic realm who disobeyed God. The Lord miraculously parted the Red Sea.

Ah, an idea from the bible about Moses delivering his people from the enemies. Reminds me of the Prince of Egypt.

How about making Moses' head face the opposite direction so that we can't see his face. That way, the picture will become more dynamic because his head's position will direct our eyes INTO the painting itself, through the parting waves and beyond.

Coloring WIP: color details

heres the latest so far with the main character which is moses.

jeromoo, thanks for your comment. I think thats a good idea its just that I wanted to present Moses as someone they trusted as an instrument of God to help them out of Egypt and being able to see the face is better as the emphasis is not the walls of water that were parted but instead its the Master the creator God the maker of heaven and earth and Moses his servant!

Moses is also known as someone who asked God to show His glory. And Israel
remembered when Moses went down from Mt. Sinai after talking to God; they saw his face beaming with light. And maybe thats why the idea of having a white textile covering the face came to be because of that fact.

Thumbs up editing the words

The last time I was here I was typing so fast and didnt notice the wrong spelling! And so this reply will clear that up. The following words are edited version or modification of it.

remembered when Moses went down from Mt. Sinai after talking to God; they saw his face beaming with light. And maybe thats why the idea of having a white textile or fabric covering the face came to be because of that fact.

The movement on the clothes of Moses means there were strong winds blowing on that region.

Coloring WIP: improvements

I started adding colors for the background. The reason why Moses was looking at that direction was because there were more people that havent crossed the parted Red Sea; as the scene depicts the Exodus just got started crossing the sea.

This was such a crucial point because they were being followed by the Evil One plus the Egyptians army headed by the Pharaoh was after them.

The cloud of the Lord is also a representation of God; as the archangel Michael was there to protect them. In the bible God said, "I brought you out of Egypt on Eagles Wings". Eagles are symbols for great archangels who have their wings cover the gates of heaven.

In this case Michael who is also an archangel like Lucifer-who became Satan after disobeying God was present at the scene by the command of God to protect His people. Lucifer knows that fighting his fellow archangel is difficult because they both have the same powers and capability.

Moses, the person who thinks that he cant even speak or make a public speech became the instrument of God in delivering His people out of bondage. As Egypt was a symbol for sin and bondage. God set them free for He remember His promise to the patriarch Abraham.

The Pharaoh that was following them actually died when the waters were brought down along with his armies. Historically theres a Pharaoh in Egypt thats missing or doesnt have a tomb and now we know why.

Cool additional notes

The wooden staff that Moses was holding in his hand was the one that became a snake
during his negotiations to release his people from slavery, but the pharaohs magicians were
able to do it too; and magically made a snake. But, Moses wooden staff were able
to devour their snake that implied the God of Moses is supreme and more powerful than
their God. After a series of plagues, finally Pharaoh allowed them to go. But, he changed his
mind and came after them.

Moses as the servant of God pointed his hand to the sea as God commanded him
and the waters were parted. And the rest was history!

Arrow Upload FTP

Well, I've tried several times but the FTP file that I sent just didnt get through. It could be because there are a lot of people sending on the same server. So, they wont get to see the high resolution image. Do you experience the same thing?
