train wheels rigging question / Advanced IK

This one is for the IK freaks out there...

I already posted it in the standard MAX forum but it seems that nobody is able to answer this.

I have got problem when I want to animate the wheels of a train (see video file). The situation is... I have got two wheels where one wheel is slightly bigger than the other and they are connected with a bar. I have managed to build a solution where I animate one wheel then the other one picks up the first one's rotation via scripted controller and the bars move appropriately.

http://www.dasfrontend.com/tmp/wheels.avi (DivX)

Now what I want to know is if there is a solution with IK-Controllers, where the rotation of the big wheel and the movement of the bar is actually "driving" the smaller wheel so I just have to animate the rotation of one wheel and the other one moves accordingly.

Well, quite confusing but I hope you know what I mean. :-)
