FXWars! Volcano!:LightFreeze

OK I`m in

I`m using image 8 from the ones Roberto posted as my background plate

I`ve removed the people and set up a quick lighting test

Lighting test 320x240 divX

eventually hope to have lava flow down the street blowing stuff up

with some volcano effects in the sky

Hey, the light match is looking really good!

My eyes may deceive me, but I think the camera match is a tad off, as I think the box needs to be bigger in frame at the end of the animation. It doesn't look like it's closing much distance to the camera over it's course of movement, but judging from the BG plate, it should...?

Good luck!

Cheers,
- Jonas

Agree with you Jussing, the camera match was off but I couldn`t get it on

so I`ve tried a different plate which looked easier to match

new plate test

hope to have more success with this one

like you said, still a bit rough. but i like how the cars will be overrolled by the lava.
i think there is currently no interaction between the cg-elements and the live footage. are you going to add some interaction? at the moment it looks a bit like a comic.

greetings, and keep going

Andreas

Good idea and I can't wait to see the interaction. The thing that caught my eye first was the clouds overhead are moving to fast and with no particular motion. To me they should be moving more slowly and spreading from the center to appear more ominous.

Keep up the good work!

Hi LightFreeze,

i get a "document not found error" when i try to watch the avi. The "mov" file works fine, but takes a long time to load.

Greetings,
Andreas

Try this one (guess it's case-sensitive):

Nice job, LightFreeze. I like a lot of the smoke effects.
