LW[8] - render tree a la XSI?

Hi, does anyone know if Newtek is considering or is already working in a new surface editor? something like Render Tree in XSI, or HyperShade in Maya? Node based... ?

thanks in advance.

Have no idea, but Lightwave's Surface Editor is already great. It would be a big mistake to re-do the Surface Editor, IMO. A few tweaks would be good though.
