Subway Is Dangerous, Jorge Kirschner Torres (3D)

Title: Subway Is Dangerous
Name: Jorge Kirschner Torres
Country: Espana
Software: Maya, Photoshop

This is probably my first complete 3D render (and my first texture work).
It tries to represent a murder scene on an old rusty subway train (probably the guy at the end of the train knows something ;).
I tried to look for a 2D feeling rather than 3D, something closer to an illustration.

I still wanted to change loads of things but I have to move on to other projects now.

C&C more than welcome.

Thanks guys.

;).

I like it allot. It doesn’t look photorealistic (which may not even bee the look you where going for) but it look professional quality cartoon look (if you know what i mean..lol). Hard to explain what I’m trying to say, but basically, Looks awesome!!.

Nice work. The colour scheme is really nice. Helps with that illustrated look too.

Hola!

Very good work! I like textures and above all the "futuristic" feeling you gave to the windows. Did you get inspired by the Madrid Metro?

Un saludo!

Hey, not bad at all. We can tell a lot of effort went into it!
However the windows bug me... are they reflecting or refracting that graffiti? It seems kind of weird. It looks like neither.

You mean the window on the right side of the train? Looks like it's sprayed itself. You know, on the outside of the wagon.

I like this pic very much!

Hi !

Guillermo: In fact I did get some inspiration from Madrdid´s subway (I live in Madrid though at the moment I live in Barcelona ).

Jorx: I know the windows are some way a bit weird hehe, there is suposed to be some graffiti sprayed on the utside of the train.
What looks weird is the reflections from the inside of the train on the window, they look like if the graffiti was being reflected but they are just the elements from the inside.
If I was to redo this picture probably I would make those parts of the window covered by graffiti somehow less reflective.
Anyway you are right they are a bit strange .

creature: Thnx man

I get the graffiti.
The bit where there's not graffiti it seems to be white. If the white was alot less, and maybe a little bit of white covering the graffiti as well it'd look more like dirty glass on the inside, if that makes sense. Still, awesome.

You know, the thing I like most about CGtalk is that I see all these people around me with so much talent, that it makes me want to do 3D all day long and keep improving!!!.

Great scene! You are telling a great story here. Of course the scene could use some extra detail, but I think what you have now works really well. The first thing I thought is that you could use some extra blood because at first I couldn't really tell what happened.

Great lighting though, keep up the good work!
