Demo Reel - Compositing/Digital Sets

Hey everyone.

This is my visual effects demo reel featuring compositing and animation shots from my high school senior project film, The Eclipse of Fear. It will hopefully get me into an Art School.

This reel focuses mainly on digital set building and compositing. All models/animations/compositing was done by myself, with music by Massive Attack. I also directed and shot all of the live action elements.

Low Quality Windows Media 9 [3.70mb zip file]
Higher Quality Windows Media 9 [16mb zip file]
--------
Low Quality Mpeg1 [15mb zip file]
High Quality Mpeg1 [24mb zip file] <- Recommended.
--------
High Quality Xvid AVI [12mb zip file]

Some frames...

I'll be honest, I'm a little scared to post this here, hehe. I'm just a lowly 17 year old, and this was created to apply to a college, not a professional level job (though that would be nice).

Hope you enjoy!

Man.........................impressive work. I know you from Sci fi meshes and I must say for 17...........your on your way to greater things. The compositing was great. My only critique would be to work on the 3d a bit more. As a lecturer in 3d, 2d and compositing, I would place you in my class for sure. Keep it up......................put in those hours. Great work Picard. You should be proud of what you have done. Zander aka Odinn

Excellent work there. The composting was better than some of the professional stuff I've seen. Keep up the good work.

I agree, he's got a heck of a future ahead of him. Kudos Pic. :thumb:

Thanks guys.

Zander - Actually, compositing interests me more than 3D graphics (which is why I spend more time in After Effects than Lightwave....). I hope to major in visual effects at Savannah College of Art and Design, which is a combination of 2d and 3d, but from what I understand, focuses more on compositing (they have another major in Animation, so...).

Nod - Thanks!

Nano - No thumb icon here.
