CG Talk, image attatchment noob question...

okay, i havent posted a picture on cg talk yet, ive read the FAQ but im still none the wiser. When i upload an attatchment to a reply or thread it comes up as a thumnail.
How do you post up an image so it appears as it in your post like most of the posts do here?

Ive uploaded the image to my own webspace and copied the link but it still doesnt show. Hmm.
What do you do?

To have the image show in the post itself you have to use pics hosted elsewhere. To use the pics you've uploaded to your own server, just use this syntax:

[ img ][ /img ]

Without the spaces in the IMG brackets.

Nope. You need to leave out the URL tags you've used. However, I doubt that will work anyway - most free hosts don't allow hotlinking. So even if you get the tags right, it will still show as a link.

oh well. Never mind.
How can i get webspace that allows hot-linking then?
got any good recomendations?...

What do most people use on cg talk to host their images?
