PA Challenge - character - JrockStar

Ok ... since it's a "work in progress" challenge I decided to post something even if it's far from being near completion ...

Since I missed the pirate contest you can expect a little pirate feel to my character

Here's a little explanation:

Hum ... I think it would be logical to think that a nuclear war would melt the icebergs, witch would cause water level to raise and to submerge continents.... that is the reason why my character has these boots. They are supposed to allow to move faster while underwater (searching for food as example).

I included wire frame versions so you can tell me if there is something wrong with the mesh...

But enough talk :o

Please donít be too harsh on me ... it's my first attempt at character modeling... (Ever) :(

And please excuse my English I know it's awful ...

Nice start on the model, very good for a first time
At this stage the model is very clean and smooth, you need to define it more,
As a underwater character i look forward to smoe interesting mask designs...

Thanks for the comment

I would like to make a precision, my character doesnít live under water ... it relies on it to find food ... she would rather live on some kind of boat...

Hmm ... if I have time I may try to model the boat

Model the boat! Or better yet, put a saddle on the seashell avatar you have.

Hereís a little update ... I didn't worked a lot on it but I will try to make daily updates so you can see if I will run into problems later and tell me before I do

You might define the knee a little more and the thighs are too long or the knees are too far down

looking really slick... one thing though.. the chest looks a little too .. how do would i put it.... ah... plump... the breast seem to stretch around to the back.. but appart from that its really good

Hereís a little update....

If anybody knows a good technique to do hairs, let me know.

p.s. : I know ... she's earless ... It's temporary

You have a very good start on the face especially for your first mesh. It takes a lot of practice to make a really great looking face for a female character. This is probably also a very rough version but maybe these comments can help

1. the eyes are really high on her face. you should bring them down quite a bit

2. the lips should be a tad wider (it should end in the midpoint between where the end of the nose and the middle of the eye is)

3. the chin need to be softer

4. the nose seems to form a triangular shape. I think the part where the top of the nostrol hits the face should be shruken. Either do that or make the middle of the nose (button nose part) larger
