Bckdrops in modo

Is it possible to saeve the viewport backdrop images and properities at all? cause it is very annoying to set up the viewports every time Modo crashes.

Also is the UV editing impossible in modo or it the "you-can-only-select-polygons-from-one-layer-in-the-uv-window" a feature?
Also has anyone been able to really get their UV models actually render the UV texture on the object in the 3d viewport?

What I do is to set everything right and then Quit modo.

This saves the preferences.

But I'm new at modo, so sure there is a more elegant way to do it.

What I've done is simply save a layout. It's quick and easy - just go to the Layouts drop down at the top of modo and 'save as.' When you want to get back to it, just reload it.

you do not need to quit modo, you can just save the config from file
