Changing color scheme

Can anyone do it successfully by loading the presets in the preference?

I had the same idea - but that's not where you do it. It's under the 'View' menu (select a viewport by clicking on in, then go to the View-->Apply color to viewport (Or something like that, not in front of modo right now) -->pick you scheme.

The colors in the preferences are just for defining schemes - you apply them under the View menu.

Somebody should add this to a FAQ.
