The $64 Question

If you use some of the features like edge weighting, what happens to the model once its loaded into Maya or Lightwave? Does it look the same? If the answer is no, is there a list of similar features that work only in Modo?

I think there is a video somewhere on Modo's site that says models being expirted to lightwave should be transfered into modo's subpatches. I don't think you can directly load a subd model into lightwave.

You have to export model to LW either as subpatches (no edgeweighting in that case) or as frozen mesh - in this case mesh keeps its exact shape.
