need to move favourites folder.

hey!!

i'm guessing this is going to be really simple and i'm just losing the plot.
but how do i get 1 users favourite internet sites onto another users account?

hey!!

well that's what i thought too but i can't find the favourites folder anywhere.
for some reason it's not coming up in a search ???
but it's definately there on th other users account and i'm admin. v.strange

It should be in C:\Documents and Settings\<your_name> (using WinXP).

Otherwise go to IE. Open the Favorites sidebar.

Select all CTRL+C. Goto the location of choice CTRL+V.

try searching for favorites rather than favourites...

U.S. spelling.

hey!!

thanks for the replies guys.
turns out that it didn't find it in the search coz it was spelt the u.s way.
and i was looking in the wrong folder. i was looking in each user's MY DOCUMENTS. not DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS. oh well

problem solved now. thanks for the help.

Just for future information: you can also export the favorites from IE...

Handy if you want to migrate to a different browser like firefox or mozilla...
