White Wall Imagetest

Iīve seen this photo in the arri lighting handbook and fell in love with the nice and soft mood so I tried to rebuild it in max and came to this

No gi used just one fr softshadow and fr refractions

that photo is an execelent study material.

the render is very good.
but you could put some squared reflections in the glass.

try using some white alongated boxes out of the camera view.
the glass will reflect those boxes, cheating a window reflection.
or try an greyscale map with bold white lines and scratches.

yeah I tried that but I thought that it looks nicer without any disturbing spec reflection

Re: White Wall Imagetest

To me it doesn't look llike the glass i thick. Did you remember to make it a 2 sided material?
Old 12 December 2001   #7
To me it looks 2-dimesional. Strangely flat.

actually itīs not a glas but a solid cylinder
and I didnīt put much attention to the cylinder my goal was the lighting mood
