CgTalk Daily Sketch 24: "FIGHT CLUB"
"Fight Club" by The Dead Kennys
Posted June 28: 8:00 US EST
Welcome to the cgtalk sketch group.
This is a special sketch session. As I mentioned last week I will be posting topics based on book titles this week. The rules are the same as the other sketch sessions. There is only one more rule:
*You may base the sketch on the book, or make up your own interpretation of the title.
For a description of the book, just click the title.
As always, we will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.
These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* 640 x 480 or 480 x 640
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" o plagiarizing.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
* Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.
PS To submit your topic ideas and suggestions go to this thread:

I am thinking of raising the image size from 640 x 480.
I would love to hear your ideas on the matter.
PS And if this topical week concept works this week, I might expand it to other cathegories and post them now and then.
I was thinking of topic weeks like:
"Movie Titles", "TV Shows", "Video Games", "Classic Video Games" etc.

Thankyouthankyouthankyou for this topic. I've had a "Fight Club" cartoon in mind for about a month now, and now I can do it as homework.
As for picture size, doesn't affect me. I post my images on Photobucket.com and I think their max size is 4x6 inches (not even 480x640 pixels).

I suck at sketching but I thought this was a good way to improve.
I instantly thought of this idea since I saw fight club and it was basically about 2 personalities =) Yea I suck but I try!!! ^^

This is a first post- I hope my image comes through properly.
Found an image of Mr. Brad online and did a quick sketch with m' trusty #2 Ticonderoga, scanned into PS 7, and made an attempt at some natural media (something I'm not well-versed in).
In between the interruptions of actually working, I'd say roughly 2 hrs.
