3D Generalist / Designer Position

We are looking to add our team of 3D Artists to challenge and drive our creative boundaries to push our product development and provide our sales team with new and fresh concepts. As part of our 3D Team, you will bring your passion and willingness to take on and execute 3D Designs and requests in a fast paced, ever changing environment.  Creatively and technically,you will take part in Creative Briefs, follow External and Internal direction and complement the custom design process to deliver a high-quality product.  Problem solving and collaboration is a must between multiple departments in the company. 
 
As a 3D Generalist, you’ll be asked to take on tasks throughout the 3D Pipeline from concept to final product.  A focus on Sculpting, Rigging and Print Preparation are some daily asks you will be tasked with.  In addition, a willingness to take on a variety of 3D art related tasks depending on the current needs is important.   Taking the initiative to keep tasks on track and updating the appropriate people of statues and issues you may encounter is a requirement.

As part of a team that is constantly pushing our own creative boundaries and learnings, the 3D Artist is expected to continually seek improvement of process and adhere to company best practices.  Effective time management and organization through the development process is a key requirement.
 
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
·         Bring a customer and business focused mindset to decisions and projects
·         Willingness and hunger to teach and learn new Software and Pipelines
·         Work within a 3D Pipeline through Sculpting, Modeling, Texturing, Rigging and Rendering to produce a product as a Render, 3D Digital Asset or Real-World Print Asset
·         Tasks include Sculpting of Anatomical Figures, Hair, Faces, Hands and Feet
·         Gives constructive feedback and addresses concerns while working with Team Leads and Directors to achieve the desired level of quality and technical accuracy for Concept and Production
·         Take creative direction and provide support to create new products for Development and Sales Teams to continually drive the industry
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1.       SKILLS AND ABILITIES
 ·         Ability to translate Concept and Digital Sketches into 3D Designs
 ·         Works well independently but can also collaborate and problems solve as a team under tight deadlines
 ·         Must be detail oriented, highly organized and makes sure company standards are upheld
 ·         Strong written and verbal communication skills
 ·         Ability to problem solve and voice potential zones of concern within various 3D Pipelines
2.       KNOWLEDGE
 ·         Strong knowledge in Autodesk Maya, 3DSMax or 3D Program
 ·         Knowledge of Pixalogic ZBrush
 ·         Proficient in Adobe Photoshop Adobe and After Effects
 ·         Strong Anatomical Knowledge for Digital Sculpting and Blend Shape Corrections
 ·         Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
3.       PLUSSES
 ·         Knowledge of Product Design,Development Processes and Manufacturing Processes
 ·         Experience with 3D Printing and Print Preparation
 ·         Experience with Houdini and Substance Designer
 ·         Knowledge of Fluids, Cloth, Particles and Dynamics
 ·         Proficient in Maxwell Studio for rendering and pre-visualization
 ·         Knowledge of Python Scripting
 ·         Experience with Rhino and Production Molding Preparation ( T-Splines etc )
4.       EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
 ·         Minimum of 4yrs of successful track record in related required skills
 ·         A Certificate, BFA or BA degree in 3DGraphics and Animation or equivalent experience
