The chrome sphere + skylight scene

3d max + brazil final version

Yes we all know it, the chrome sphere scene's

now im trying it to...but the chrome balls i have seen aint like the brazil chrome.

the reflection always seems darker than the real enviroment.

and if it has some kind of falloff to it..

so is it just me, or is there a lot more to it.?

here are my chrome balls, and a reall one.

i would like to discuss this

POST YOUR CHROME BALLS!

and telll people what you have done with it.

maybe some weird stuff with reflections or collor bleeding.
etc etc.

im going to try to figure things out now, how i can make them more real...

so.. this is to where i have come now..

to makemy ball more realistic i have added instead of white in difuse, a light grey, to make it darker.

and for bump i made some scratch map, to make it a little more blurry.

now ill ad the dirt soon, that is still missing i guess.

still have to figure out if some fallof is needed, but for that i will have to composite a whole other material, caus far as i know you can get a falloff in the chrome brazil material.

the can still looks a little funny to,

does someone know, how i can get the caustics from the can, caus here it sort of bounces the light of , and you see that on the ground..

This is impossible to see properly, because of the jpeg compression..
