Deadline Render Management System - Public Beta Download
The Frantic Films Software Division (Frantic's in-house RnD unit) released a free trial Beta version of its Deadline Render Management System.
Deadline is a highly scalable and amazingly stable render management solution developed to make life of animators and IT administrators as easy as possible in today's fast-paced Visual FX production environment. It supports: *Alias Maya 4.x and 5.x (support for 6 coming soon), *Discreet 3dsmax 5.x and 6.x incl. Scanline Rendering, Brazil r/s, VRay and mental ray (in 6) *Pixar's RenderMan, *ExLuna's Entropy, *Sitex Graphics' Air *eyeon Digital Fusion 4.x Coming soon - support for: *Adobe AfterEffects *nVidia Gelato In addition, any external application that can be controlled by command line or a built-in scripting language can be easily integrated with Deadline. Deadline implements a decentralized failure-proof server-free model and can handle hundreds or even thousands of jobs in renderfarms with an arbitrary number of slaves. It provides tools to define and manage pools of machines for specific tasks, control priorities, limit machines to specific jobs, control and update the system remotely from any of the slaves, drag&drop files from the Deadline Monitor into supported applications, VPN support for remote access to the desktop of any slave on the network, and more. You can get a trial (time-limited) copy and learn more about Deadline by following this link: http://www.franticfilms.com/software/deadline/ Last edited by Bobo : 06 June 2004 at 10:24 PM. |
