yVR - 360 realtime render viewer

yVR is a new tool that will allow you to view your 360 renders in realtime on your phone, tablet or PC. Either in 360 or cardboard mode.

yVR works locally for artists that want to see their work directly on their final medium or across the internet to showcase to clients and get fast and efficient feedback on 360 projects.

Currently yVR is working with Vray and Corona in 3dsMax and Mantra in Houdini and will be available for all major platforms, PC, iOS, Android and WebGL.

Very cool! Is there a date for the full release of it? And do you know the cost? Something like this would really be helpful in our renderings.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. We still don't have a release date but it shouldn't take that long for us to release a working build. We usually do constant updates on our products, so as long as we have something that is acceptable it will be released. To be more specific, we're talking about one, two months period but don't quote me on that

No pricing yet, but the standard license will probably include two viewer licenses (one for the workstation/artist and another one for running on a device/hand over to a client). We will provide additional licenses at an additional cost if the user needs it. Let's say you want to have 6 tablets viewing the renders, you would need an additional 4 viewer licenses. Also we tend to have very affordable plugins.

BTW, what platforms do you guys have and what DCC apps do you use?

Cool I subscribed!

We mainly use 3d max with Corona or Vray. No apps as far as viewing real time like what was shown in the video.

Looking forward to your release!

Hi everyone, here's an update:

yVR can now run as an extended viewport, so you get a 360 VR viewport right inside 3dsMax.
