Question Hair Transforming Question!!!!

Is there any way to maintain the lengh and shape of hair proportionally that is applied to a model after transforming (scale, translte, or rotate)...?

the big one at the bottom is origial one that I apply and style hair.. and the upper one is a duplcated which is scaled down and moved up ...

sorry i dont know how to do that . i write on this post because it's a question for me to. i use softimage since 2 weeks and dont understand the hair fonction. how to change the lenght and how to use curve hair ( like model hair in shag hair). i waiting for the demo cd from softimage and for the moment i dont see any tutorial about hair in xsi 2.0 on the net ( execpt a good grass tutorial)
if someone have a link...

Try se;ecting everything at once when you scale including the hair.
