It's easier that a Concept Artist transfers to be a Matte Painter?

Do you agree it's easier that a Concept Artist transfers to be a Matte Painter, whereas it's harder for a matte painter transfers to be a concept artist, as being a concept artist needs to know much wider areas like the design of characters, fashion, vehicle, architecture, interior, weapons, gadgets, creatures, environments, etc

That's the opinion that I hear from the concept artist who claims in the public forum. I would like to know what you guys think. Thank you!
