Concept Sketch: burden

"Mans early attepts at creating everlasting life."

Very rought first concept. I think Im going to go with a very old look... kinda like those circus freak photos from the 1900's.

Very interesting concept and I love the idea of the circus freak posters feel.

Good Luck.

nice.. really like the whole is the machine weighing the man down or is it letting him stay alive thing. Cool morally gray idea.

based on the alienware challenge I'm looking forward to the amount of detail you'll put into this.

Concept Sketch: concept #2

New concept.
Im trying to come up with something original, instead of just another bi-ped with mechanical arms or legs....

Keeping with my search for eternal life theme, this image shows a man who has had his body cut into segments and placed into glass boxs. The segments were then reconnected using mechanical parts and new technology. Segments can be easily replaced with ones from another person. Eternal life was achieved, but at a price.

How does the story work? Is he skinless conserved into plexyglassbricks or something? Looks interesting. And very Morbid.

Well, the mans body was first cut into pieces. Each pieces was then put into an airtight glass case. All the nerves, tendons, veins, ect were then re-connected between the boxes with mechanics. When one part of the body begins to fail, it can just be removed and replaced by a part from another mans body and the man as a whole continues to live.
Umm...I hope that made scense. Its a bit odd, i know.

What makes a man... propably, the most important part will be the brain. I could imagine, the "nutrion"tubes running to his spine (hope i interpreted that right) are also coming from uspide down, maybe to his backhead and the brain is separated as main subject. (ouch, Poor being, reminds me a "LEGO-" or "IKEA-"man... lol)
To follow that, I don't even think the skin is required. I could imagine all organs are sort of plug n play, so he looses maybe a bit more of his human shape, but the visable organs as "removable devices" being visable could make it very fascinating. So the whole man would be like a rack. hahaha, stop me. Your Idea is funny to play with. Well I am looking forward to an interesting work. Best luck by the way! Rock em all dude
