CB: Is YouTube Making It Harder for Animators To Make Money?
Quote:
"Ross O’Donovan, an Australian animator who creates Internet animation using the handle Rubber Ninja, has posted a video that argues recent changes in YouTube’s algorithms give preferential treatment to live-action content creators while making it more difficult for animation creators to earn money. i think the favoritism was already there before the new update. His last video was 7 months ago, can't be mad about youtube ,just except that software has not evolved quick enough for animators to pitchout something fast with quality.

It depends how you market yourself, you may have limited resources, all you can rely on is word of mouth.
There is really no sound advice to offer anyone, besides knowing an array of tools and have a good knowledge of programming or even beginner. I'm good at making syntax errors ![]() |

Animation is and will always be a time intensive process. No matter what may evolve with software and technology. Flexibility and originality is the independent animators calling card.
Youtube's shift will only guarantee that Youtube will become a mass dumping ground for media garbage that should overall decrease the average IQ of western society as a whole. Time to read more books. __________________

YouTube is already this. I swear they are determined to see just how crappy they can become before people actually stop using their site. |
