Unhappy Mixamo Fuse: Automatic Weighting

At my job, we got a hold of Mixamo Fuse which significantly cuts down the time it'd take to model, rig, and texture humanoid characters. However, when it comes to applying animations (primarily the pre-made ones that's available with Mixamo), I realize that the automatic painted weights aren't flawless. I'm not sure if it's just bugging or fine tuning is indeed necessary for 3D modeling programs like Fuse. Anyone have any input on this--I tried explaining this to my superiors and I'm worried they don't believe me.

I've definitely been in the same scenario. The weighting mixamo does is, to my knowledge, based on some pretty complicated algorithms which aren't perfect. However, they're pretty good.

Sometimes tweaks are still necessary with Mixamo and really they aren't that difficult, just depends on the moves necessary.
