Jinx the Loose Cannon splash Illustration for League of Legends (Riot Games)

Probably the most fun I've had working on a splash art at Riot!! This was the first character that I was able to help create from scratch for League of Legends, working on the Jinx team was so amazing!

Thumbs up

I'm glad you had so much fun with it. I think this piece should be viewed poster-sized so that we can see all of the details better. This forum size isn't quite doing it justice (it happens). I like the dynamic composition and how you enabled the eye to travel around the page thanks to following the flow of her braids/hair. She's like a cool anime character from a hit shonnen series. Interesting idea for the magenta eyes with the blue hair. And I like how you carried that magenta color on her right breast cover and her right leg fish net stockings (it gives it more balance and feels less random). That's a wicked-looking cannon she's got there. I like the muzzle design with the teeth. Some of her anatomy feels slightly off at times, but they're mostly subtle (like the shape of the torso and the feel of the proportions of the back leg since it's cropped off by the rocky protrusion, and so forth; mostly minor and subtle). The lighting and background is comprehensive and works well together with the character to create a complete scene. Overall, you did a great job and as I study this I can start to see how you really enjoyed putting this together. Hopefully you can work on even more fun projects. Keep it up. Great job.

Incredible work! Not only do I love the composition, the action and movement of the piece, but her expression is what really makes it special. I can only imagine what she's looking at and what she must be thinking. Extremely fun, interesting character.

Love this piece! By far my favorite splash for League. I have a question--how do they go about doing the animated versions of these splash art pieces on the actual LoL client? I love the depth treatment they give them.
