Game Art Comp 5: Geo_ru : Metal Slug dude

Hello =)

i will try make metalslug dude. cartoonish style... its new for me.

this one is tough also! hope it doesnt turn out better than Contra in 3D..

This oughtta be cool. His legs are bit short though. Could be the choice you made for the character ofcourse.

nice concept!! i would also think the legs could be alittle extended, even for a super deform character.

looking great Geo..this game was for the neo geo right? I remeber there beeing alot of great games for that system..is tehre a website where I can check out all the different characters for any ideas?

Twindragon: yes its original for neo-geo, but i played on PS one and afaik its ported on GBA, sorry i dont know site with info.. just with lotsa screens.

well, you don't seem like a noob in modelling to me . great model, comming along really nice.. I also like the fact that you didn't just mirror everything. looking forward to the final product!

don't overlook how one of the key characteristic of these guys were their 'lack' of necks. Their heads kinda caved into their chests.
I think that would help seperate this from a normal biped guy and give it more liking to the characters.
