Ptex and Rsl

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get ptex to work with my shaders in maya but with no luck. I'm using the ptexture() function but don't fully understand the arguments needed. I believe I must add some sort of face id and can generate one with the renderman mesh attribute. However I don't know how to link the data across. Any help would be much appreciated.

Found the solution almost immediately after posting this. You just have to add a "varying float __faceindex" variable to the input of the shader and it does all the rest for you.
