I like it. It has a real retro sci fi feel to it, and I like the simple composition. Kinda looks like a book cover from a 50s sci fi novel.

Exactly what i was thinking! Could fit in with these easily:

Strong piece!
I really like the ambiguous aspect of the concept. It can be a snapshot of a futuristic frontier, just waiting for something under some exotic vegetation or rock formation, OR it can be an underwater scene (for me definitely), as well... and so on. The composition is very simple, but contains this interesting subliminal feature.
Also very much like the palette, an interesting mixture of rusted-red, teal and white. Nice combo!
Gr8 job, keep it up!

Very, very nice, Emmanuel!
Congratulations for making it to the front page!
Surely transports a good portion of tension - it really seems to tell a story.

Thank You !!!

Hi, folks !

Thanks for all the kind words, I am totally speechless and thankfull about beeing on the front page !
This isnt my merit alone, though, it is only possible because of the fantastic and inspiring artwork displayed by all those ubertalented artists here on the forums through the years.

@Leigh: Indeed, I am a pretty big fan of the pulp covers of the 60s, 60s, 70s and 80s. I grew up with the fantastic art displayed on movie posters that were illustrated by real artists with brushes, pencils and paints.

@Zocsi: Thanks so much, thats exactly what I hoped to inspire in viewers.

@fishhead: Thanks a lot, that storytelling impression is what I aimed for. I want for viewers to project their own ideas into what exactly happens and where it could lead. When I see good concept art it always makes me curious, gets my mind wheels grinding, inspires me, I dont wanna give finished solutions, I want to ignite, discuss.

I also find it interesting that quite some people describe the environment as oceanic, underwater, thats cool even though it wasnt planned that way.

Thanks again everybody !

I like it but the composition is somewhat static, not helped by the foreground figure.
