Tool shed, Jonas Bergholm (3D)

Title: Tool shed
Name: Jonas Bergholm
Country: Sweden
Software: Maya, Photoshop, VRay

"Tool shed" was my individual project during my first year studying at Digital Graphics (Nackademin YH, Stockholm - Sweden).
Its supposed to be an older tool shed with a touch of steampunk thrown in there.

I wanted to dive deeper into V-ray since I'd only been using it for smaller assignments prior to this project, and fell absolutely in love with it. This was the first project at school where I did all the elements, and I felt I really needed to practice on my texture/lighting/rendering skills (which I still need to do).
I did learn a lot, but I have a long road to travel ahead of me!

Software used: Maya, V-ray, Photoshop and Nuke

Good detailing, grunge and rust is more suited for this type of scene, too clean for my taste.

Thank you for your comment!
The scene was originally intended to have a bit of dust and be more worn out. Due to my inexperience I had to make some last-minute changes which resulted in the removal of the grunge in order to meet the project deadline.

Thank you for your comment and critique, It is noted and I will take it with me in my future CG endeavors

Incredible detail. Just the right amount of lighting.

I wouldn't suggest you return to it, as it's polished and nice as is. Had you more time however, it would have been nice to see a little more wear and tear. Otherwise, a solid scene.

Great details!
Shaders could be a bit more intersting though.

Anyway: nice piece - keep it up!

Personally I like the fact that you went for a more clean look than a lot of other artists would have gone for. Making things rusty and grimy is easy; what you've done is a lot harder and I think you've gone a good job of it.
