Thumbnails Please?

So, I am interested in creating a python script that allows a user to pick from different predefined buildings that I have made, which are made up into pieces. This way it gives the user to choose how many windows and how many floors the building should have etc. My thoughts for giving the user a preview of what the default building looks like, would be to have a thumbnail preview of the building which would import the building of choice. However, I cannot seem to think how I could display all of the thumbnails in one shot, since I am only aware of Blender is not able to display thumbnails, not alone multiple thumbnails, in any of the panels. Is this correct?

okay. what I want to ask is this.....
I was wondering if there was a way to display thumbnails of buildings that I have created for users to choose from? I wanted this to happen in such a matter that when the user clicks on one of the thumbnails, the script will load the correct building file, but all the user see's it as this is the building of choice. from looking around on the net however, I could not find anything, so I just wanted to make sure by asking over here.

Sorry I don't have an answer for your question but I would highly recommend that you bring it up on blenderartists.org, you're far more likely to get answers to specifics there
