Animate Cable Channels on CNC-Machines
in a project i need to animate a couple of robots with linear movements and cnc-milling and cutting machines. For Example i need to animate a cnc-cutter like:
Well i created the cable channel and used a path deform on it. To animate the path i used a "Spline IK Control". The Spline has 5 Vertexes. Start and Endpoint works fine with linking it to the Cutting machine. My problem is Knot2,3 and 4, which need to follow 50% in Y-Axis, but 100% in X-Axis (see attachement) in world axis. If i rotate it, it should follow the local coord. system.
I am pretty clueless here, how to do it. I tried wire parameters with linking x-position to x-position/2, but couldnt figure out an expression for it.
I tried to use a position constraint, but then it follows 50% in all directions.
Well another problem i see is that, if i use something like position constraints, i cant move the machine anymore without doing all animation again. For example if i want a 2nd production line in my scene.
