Beginner: How do I get my details from high res mesh onto low res mesh?
I have two versions of my model; high res with the texturing and polypaint
and then the retypologized low poly model Getting confused in the process of how to transfer the details onto the low res Is anyone able to give me a few basic steps on how to do this? Preferably staying within Zbrush and using x normal? I did this process in xnormal but got an error message saying my low res model had no texture co-ordinates, this just confused me! Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated |

XNormal would be fine, but you do need UVs to bake detail to maps. If you have none, it was probably complaining about it.
Produce the UVs in whatever app you did the low poly with, or just use UVMaster in ZBrush. You can search on youtube for step by steps of all of the above and find a fair few short tutorials on those subjects. __________________
