Trying to delete some grass but it won't budge.

Hi, I made some grass with the hair particle system then converted it to mesh. I select some of them and I try deleting them but they just refuse to go :/

Here is my blend in case you need to look (8mb).

Any ideas?

Thanks

Could someone just try converting the particles to mesh then deleting some of them please? I'd like to know if the problem is just on my computer or not.
