MB 2013 - Material Coordinate Space Option Greyed Out

While trying find a better material to paint with I somehow inadvertently managed to grey out the options to set the coordinate space and compatibility for normal maps. Any new material I make also has these options greyed out. I could manually flip the green channel in Photoshop, but I'd like to know how to resolve this in Mudbox in case I run into it again in the future. Any help is appreciated.

Also, while attempting to resolve the aforementioned issue, I loaded my normal map into the Normal Map slot of the material. How can I clear that out?

Solved. I just reopened the scene and they weren't greyed out anymore. Perhaps a bug, I'm not sure.
