Drop To Object...?

Is there a way in Max 2012 to drop an object on top of another? Either by gravity where the object underneath may be sloped and the dropped object falls and tilts as it's dropped, or where the dropped object maintains it's vertical position and just stops when it hits the object underneath.

I hope I am explaining this correctly, let me know if you need more info.
Thanks

Neil's scripts are so totally awesome, still relevant even after so many years.
