Problem I cant solve at my skill level. Mesh of a gun.
Hi all, Im trying hard to make a revolver here and im having a lot of trouble trying to get some parts of it right.
I wonder if anyone was able to solve these smoothing problems im having. They are mostly 2 problems. One is with smoothing the side of the barrel(??) of the gun. It does a weird thing where the sides go a little bit outside of the model, like they are trying to run away from it or something. Here are the photos: ![]() ![]() And here is the mesh. ![]() ![]() Im also trying to model the head of a screw that goes on the gun and im also having problems smoothing it since it does something even wierder than the gun barrel .. photos: ![]() And the mesh: ![]() The thing with this is that I didn`t want the bottom or the sides of the screw to lose their roundness so I couldnt really continue the edges down and around to get them to behave properly.. and now im at a loss. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Hey man,
Try using the crease tool under edit mesh. Select your edges, click the button, and drag the mouse to apply the effect. -AJ __________________
