Basic Figure Rig

Hi everyone,

So sorry for the simple question, but I'm in need of a quick, simple, character rig. I've done some googling and it seems that at some point, it was possible to simply collapse the 'Figure' primitive and magically get a fully rigged character. I'm on R13, and whenever I collapse the Figure, I simply get geometry without any rig. I tried to dig deep into the Content Browser, but couldn't find much beyond Flabio and a few other stylized characters. I just need something quick and simple, and the Figure seems perfect, but I just need a rig.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It's rigged with CDTools, but they can be run in runtime mode if you don't have a license for them.

Thanks, kvb!

That's super-helpful, but since I'm on a license server, I'd have to instal the plugin on every box in my department in order to use it.

I guess it would be most helpful if someone was to simply collapse the figure object from an older version of Cinema and just send me a link :-)

Thanks again.

I don't think it will help, the old version had IK effectors in the hierarchy and could only be posed with the old 'IK tool' which has been removed in newer versions AFAIK.

Cheers,
Brian
