Duplication that reduces objects for each duplication?
So I'm currently doing a pyramid in Maya, and have stumbled accross some problems in making it realistic. I want to do all the pyramid rocks as real objects, therefore I can use the duplicate special and make them as instances. But the thing is that I don't want to duplicate all the "rocks" as in this image.
So, is there a script or something that reduces two objects for each duplication? So that all the instances together form one side of a pyramid? If that makes sense? ![]() |

If you knew scripting at all it'd be pretty easy to write one, but if you don't, I'd just group select all the objects you don't need and delete them.

I know, it was a bit tricky to understand, but I've realized that what I was asking for wouldn't work anyway.
Thanks though! ![]() |
