New Online Animation School?

Animsquad was brought to my attention by a friend. It seems they are a newly found school offering courses from beginner to experience and the cost for all courses stay at a reasonable $1000 no matter the expertise.

My ffriend has signed up for their beginner course but I worry because they are all ready asking for payment up front to secure his spot for classes that do not start till May 1st. They are asking g for payment through papypal which can be a trusted source but I still feel it's a bit sketchy.

They claim their school is taught by Disney employees(mainly supervisors). I'm not trying to destroy their credibility or anything. Rather, just trying to found out their legitimacy. I was hoping if anyone knew these instructors/professionals personally or through work and could back that these people have honestly started thus business venture. While $1000 isn't as much as the other tuition payments, it still is $1000 I don't want my friend to lose to a scam artist.

Thank you for your time and help.

A friend of mine who works at Disney vouches for its legitimacy in his blog: http://danielgonzales3.blogspot.com/.

Thank you for sharing that information. I truly appreciate it. It's hard to trust anyone over the Internet. I also have a friend who is a supervisor at Disney in a different departmen but I figured it wwould be easier to ask here in the community.

Also, allow us to clarify our payment method:

1. You can sign up for any of workshops by just emailing us at animsquad@yahoo.com

2. You don't have to pay anything, except if you want to secure your spot. In that case we ask you to pay half the amount of the cost of the workshop you'd like to sign up for. A lot of the workshops fill up quick, hence some students prefer to pay now so they don't loose their spot.

We hope this clarifies things

Thanks,

AnimSquad
