3dsm - snakeRig

Hi,

I am thinking about how to rig a snake so that it is fairly easy to animate. The animation should be realistic and the snake's headmovement should move smoother than the rest of the body. Getting that effect for a straight movement is fairly easy, but when the snake should do some curves or even climb a tree or something alike, it needs a more elaborated rig.

The following links seems inspiring but I don't have a clue how to achieve this behavior in max:

Has anybody an idea, tutorial, link? I've been searching for a while, but up to now without promising results :-/...

Thanks in advance,
Martin

Thank you for the hint Pacermike - sadly the links are all broken, but haven't thought about using springControllers yet and its worth a try.

Hey, not sure if you're still working on this or not but I stumbled across another spring script and this one looks pretty rad.

As an added bonus the links actually work on this one
