Contemporary Den

Modeled in 3dsmax, rendered in Octane v1.0

One of the last projects for our 3d design class. Critique welcome. Everything modeled directly in Max, except the fern, which was part of a plant library/collection and imported as .obj purely for aesthetic reasons; and the tree was created with a maxscript plugin (AViztree, I believe is the name). Most other decorative objects were modeled by me for other projects, and thought to use them as design supplements for this room. The candleholder on the hex table, for example, was a parametric model project. I know you can't see much of that from this angle, but thought I'd mention it. The chair was also part of a parametric modelling project I did a few months ago, and was a candidate to be 3D printed at one point by an Interior Design Firm, but that deal fell through, and they went with a different design.

alternate render

Here is an alternate render of the Den, from another perspective.

And a shot of the chair, which was modeled using parametric techniques.
