Question on setting up multiple ik chains.

I am using Maya 2013 for this.

I'm currently rigging a slug for an animation I'm doing.

For the body of the slug I am using a spline ik. I also have a spline ik currently on the left eye stalk which I plan to mirror to the right eye stalk.

When I move the spline ik joints with the circle control on the body, the spline ik joints on the eye stalk stay in place.

I want the eye stalks to move like the right eye stalk without the spline ik is moving right now.

I am very new to rigging so any help is appreciated.

Looks like double transformations.

Try this:
Select the splineIk curve, press ctrl+a for attrubute editor and uncheck 'Inherits Transform' under 'Transform Attributes'.
