Question ListView ActiveX

Hi,

Im searching for information regarding the ListView ActiveX Control. I need more information, then the Sample script in the MXS Documentation offers.

How can i add Items in another column?
Is it possible to add controls like edit fields, Checkbuttons, dropdown lists?
how can i control Max actions with the ListView control?

...all those questions...
Is anybody able to help me out?
so long...

Assuming you have a listview named ax :

-- create Column Header
ax.columnheaders.add text:"Column"
-- create ListItem
axItem = ax.listitems.add text:"ListItem"
-- create ListSubItem
axSubItem = axItem.listsubitems.add text:"ListSubItem"

Is it possible to add controls like edit fields, Checkbuttons, dropdown lists?

Unfortunately, the listview control does not support this kind of functionality. You might be able to fake it though using a standard maxscript textbox which you move to the appropriate cell on the fly.

You can list the properties/methods/events of all types of activexcontrols like this (put these statements in the on open event of your rollout)

showProperties ax
showMethods ax
showEvents ax

You can do the same for nested properties, for example to list all properties of a listitem (see above example) :

showProperties axItem

Hope this helps
