Environment: A Timeless View

Hello everyone... this is something I've been working on and was inspired by a friend of mine.

Rendered in Lightwave, textures in Photoshop.

Hope you like it...

very nice indeed. the water is not quite reflective enough, and the ground seems a bit flat, but otherwise there is not much wrong with it.

very good composition and colors.

What kind of rendering settings were used in Lightwave? I like the composition a lot and I think how you rendered it lends a lot to its appeal.

That's a very lovely, detailed scenario - Looks great!

You dumb asses! Sorry "the water is not quite reflective enough" "the water looks more like snow"?? Isn't that ice? With snow on...

Why is the deck blue and the water grey?

And can you add the pointilizing after the fact? right now it looks odd that the d.o.f. in the foreground removes that artifact (which i believe is intentional, no?)

I dont think its a deck ... more like grass O_0. I agree with most ppl about the water it just doesnt look like water.

It would be interesting to hear from Imatk what he meant it to look like. Personally I'm 100% sure it's snow and ice because of the sky and red leaves and so on. But it seems like I'm the only one with that opinion. So I could be wrong I mean, but I have never seen gray grass before... Even in cg art....

I think it looks good btw. Forgot to say it last time If it's meant to look like snow that is.

It has great depth to it. The ring lying on the book for example. Is it a wedding ring? hmmm makes you wonder what's going on in inside
