Download Dogwaffle 5 for free
This one is legitimate, and straight from the author.
We are giving away Dogwaffle 5 as a free download, and although it comes on the heals of the whole CS2 thing, we actually decided to do this a couple of weeks ago. The reasons are on the site at http://www.squirreldome.com/SpecialOffer.htm So it's a good chance to get a full featured paint studio for free, and naturally we encourage upgrading to the latest version. We also have version 6 for sale for $10 (originally $160) __________________

Not exactly a deciding criteria for legitimacy, as we all seem to be debating lately, but I get your point. Thanks for the freebie. I'll certainly look into it. You can never have enough good art apps. __________________

It's only two developers. Most programmers are only proficient in either Windows or OSX and porting programs isn't easy no matter what. They probbaly only have the knowledge, experience and time to develop on the Windows platform and that's it. They could hire an Objective C programmer to work on a port for OSX but that would more than likely cost them more money that they can afford or risk, since they have to do promos in order to get capital for monitors and such. http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpos...72&postcount=10 This has been argued before but the OSX users should really be happy that they have the ability to use Windows on their systems and just dual boot and stop whining about not being able to use Windows only software...at least you have an economical option. Purchasing an overpriced Mac in order to use OSX only programs is hardly the better option for those on the other side. Last edited by eworc : 01 January 2013 at 06:54 PM. Reason: Link added |

![]() I wished that more companies would give their older products away like this... Good luck with Project Dogwaffle! |
